Workplace for research of the New global tectonics
We invite relevant organizations as well as individuals to join the establishment and operation of a common research workplace. The need of such a workplace originates from recent findings of Czech geophysicists and other specialists, based on measurements with vertical static pendulums, which are very important not only for earthquake predictions, but they also bring a completely new insight into the mechanisms and causes of movements in the Earth's crust (Kalenda, Neumann et al., 2011 (in Czech), 2012).
Two
basic
activities of the workplace:
- research focused
on improving the lithosphere-plates movement model (therefore the „New
global
tectonics“) and the earthquake preparation and triggering model. This
prevalently
applied research also overlaps with basic research (e.g. relations of
the plate
tectonics and global climate in the geological past).
- collection
of data usable for earthquake prediction and their timely releasing in a
suitable
manner, which may also include publication of own predictions.
The
second
activity is already a concrete application of existing as well as
future results
of measurements not only with vertical static pendulums (see Kalenda,
Neumann
et al.), but also with other methods. The basic conditions for
successful predictions
are:
- built-up
of a global network of vertical static pendulums, as well as other
perspective devices,
- guarantees
of systematic and continual monitoring of the measurements and of
maintaining
of the instrumental network,
- intensive
cooperation on global scale.
The common workplace can immediately take responsibility for operation of the network of vertical static pendulums. Regular predictions will then begin after some time, depending on the cooperation with relevant specialists. Unofficial as well as official (however private) predictions of several predictors using various methods are already tested within an informal group.
Present situation: according to job time, the number of people dealing with the whole network of vertical static pendulums, data interpretation, and various questions of the new global tectonics, is less than one.
Thus, as the first step we want to create a stable background for evaluation of measurements by vertical static pendulums in Europe, where are also located all up to now installed pendulums.
A
permanent
workplace should have from the onset preferably four permanent
employees for:
- installation
and maintaining of pendulums and related equipment in the field,
- data transfer,
programming, data analyses and processing,
- actualization
of theoretical lithosphere-plate movement model, relations to other
measurements, strategy of development of the measuring network,
-
popularization, communication with authorities, work with schools and
volunteers
(e.g., regional interpretation), obtaining of information from
archives etc., translations,
organization of interdisciplinary research, and fundraising.
